Part of my ongoing phase of landscape studies, this illustration was inspired by the view captured on Tramserweg, a street that leads to a small and cozy lake up the mountain. The process of painting this picture was focused more on building the scene using vibrant colors that look pleasant together, rather than realistically trying to replicate the tones. I used a new brush, aiming to create a flow of the strokes and a new technique, with bits of the red background still showing through.
